New Super Mario Bros. Final Castle?!?

I am playing New Super Mario Bros., and I have made my way to Bowser's Castle (the final level), but I have gotten stuck. I have completed the first part, but I have reached a part of the game where there is a series of platforms, and I keep going and getting on them, but it never gets me to the double doors to the final battle entrance! Is there some kind of code?

Yes, there is.

When you get to the flag bit, you end up with some platforms. Firstly, run through the bottom platform. Then, at the next group of platforms, go through the top. At the next group, go through the middle.

Then you have reached your destination.
