Official Contest Submission Thread

The old one was kinda outdated. So here's this new shiny one!

Please post all of your contest ideas here. They can have to do with anything, but please follow these rules when posting ideas:

- The idea must follow the SMBF rules.
- The idea must be something that the majority of members are able to do. So don't submit anything like "Write your own Mario Game in C " or "Build a Mario Arcade Machine in 1 hour, then post a high definition video of a neighbourhood hobo playing on it and succeeding, whilst eating a slice of toast with David Bowie".
- The idea must not be too off topic to Super Mario/Super Mario Bros. Forums.
- The idea must be exciting. We don't want to do stuff like "Write a 100 page essay about when Mario met Tony Blair, featuring 17 algebra equations and 149 ways to eat brussel sprout soup", we want stuff like "Write a Mario Song"!
- The idea can't have already happened or is already going to happen.
- The idea can't relate to copyrighted non-Mario characters, so don't expect to get a Pokémon or SpongeBob contest.

• Make a Mario/SMBF signature/avatar
• Make a Mario video game box art
• Write a Mario Song

• Create a Super Mario Bros. Character (Mar' '10 Contest)
• Mario Character Lookalike Contest (Feb' '10 Contest)
• Make a Mario Comic Strip (Fall '09 Contest)

We cannot guarantee every single good idea will be used, but we will try to use as many as possible.

We could probably host a Lookalike contest, where we post a selection of Mario characters and members have to find a celebrity who looks a lot like the character. Very Happy
